The day I've been waiting for a long time has finally arrived! Today is the first day of my internship! As I have mentioned in a previous post , I received a job offer from EchonLabs (Pvt) Limited . The starting date is today (30th June 2022). Yesterday my Human Resource Partner contacted me on WhatsApp to share the necessary information with me. She sent me a form to get the details to create my company email address. Then I received the instructions to set up my company email address. Today morning my Human Resource Partner added me to a WhatsApp group with other trainees who joined today. She shared a document about the induction. It included some links to courses for trainees. She also shared with us the schedule for today. We had 3 sessions, 2 KT (Knowledge Transferring) sessions, and a session with our CEO.  I started learning TypeScript!  What is TypeScript? TypeScript is a superset of JavaScript. It was developed by Microsoft (created by Anders Hejlsberg) and released in 2012. It is a strongly typed programming language and it has many coding features that JavaScript doesn't. Some of them are, Interfaces Namespaces Generics Abstract classes Data modifiers Optionals Function overloading How I Learn TypeScript? I'm learning TypeScript by following the Build JavaScript applications using TypeScript  learning path on the Microsoft Learn website. It is a text-based tutorial and it has 8 modules. Today I completed the first module, earned a badge, and shared it on my LinkedIn profile.

Today, the 27th of June 2022, is a VERY special day for me. I got my very first job offer!!  Technical Interview I applied for the position of trainee software engineer at EchonLabs. I was shortlisted for a technical interview last week. First, the interviewers asked some non-technical and then they asked questions about programming especially related to Object-Oriented Programming. Then they shared a Google Doc and asked me to write solutions to 2 coding problems.  HR Interview On Saturday, I received a message that I was shortlisted for the second (HR) interview. I was delighted and prepared for that interview. Today I participated in that interview and the interviewer said that I was shortlisted! Then they sent me an offer letter and I accepted it.  Today is one of the happiest days of my life! 😊

Yesterday, the 8th of June , was a very special day of my life. Because I participated in my first-ever job interview. We have to complete an internship of 6 months for our degree program. The interview was held at my campus. The company that interviewed us was Enadoc Labs . It was a great experience for me because it was my first time participating in an interview. After the interview, the interviewees pointed out some mistakes in us and told us how to correct those mistakes. It was really helpful for me to improve myself. They also gave us a nice gift! 

I've been busy in the past few weeks because of the exam. The results of the Gamedev.js Jam were released a few days after the game jam. As you can see in the photo, my rank was 68th . I participated in this event mainly to get some experience, not to win... It was really a great experience because I learned a lot such as how a game jam happens, and what skills I need to compete, and also I learned some valuable things from feedback from other participants. I hope to participate in upcoming game jams too!
